2009.09.24 Survivor Samoa - Cops -vs- Russellers
Russell is controlling the show at camp Foa Foa. Betsy let Russell know that she doesn’t trust him and sets her fate.
Russell, without any clues, is sure that there is a hidden immunity idol at camp and sure enough he is right and finds it. Man, that guy has luck. He shares his find with Jaison.
Immunity and reward challenges were combined and the teams have 3 team members on the “court” where they will battle each other for balls which they give to their other 3 team members to use to try to make a basket. First team to make 3 baskets wins. This was a rough, wicked, and dirty challenge. All the teams were playing rough but even after a warning Ben trips someone and is thrown out of the game. So FaoFao with one man down looses and Galu wins! They take home fishing gear and the immunity idol. The twist is that the team leader gets to select one person from their own tribe to go over to the other tribe and observe and listen. Yaismin is sent over.
Mike (two beard) played hard in the challenge and medics were called over. In the end they sent Mike home for medical reasons. We’ll miss you Mike.
At tribal council Betsy tries to sway the tribe to keeping her and sending Ben home but it doens’t work and Betsy is gone.

2009.09.17 Survivor Samoa - Milkbone Underwear
Survivor Samoa starts with teams already chosen but that doesn’t mean there isn’t the ackward picking of players. First the teams have to vote on a leader, this done before they even have spoken a word to each other. In the end the handsome, black guy in the suit (Russell) was choosen by Galu and the tall guy in the tan jacket and red shirt (Mick) was choosen by Foa Foa. Then the leaders are asked to choose who is the player that is the best swimmer, the strongest, the most agile, and then he smartest and those four will complete in the reward challenge. Mick chooses the right players and Foa Foa wins and takes home flint.
Back at Foa Foa camp Russell makes his mark. He strikes up a “secret” alliance with Kelly, Ashley, Marisa and Betsy. Then he dumps all the water out of the canteens and burns his teammates socks. He states he is evil and his plan is to “control how they feel so he can control how they think”. Look out Foa Foa.
At Galu there is a lot of discussion on how to build a shelter, but not much action.
Immunity challenge requires the teams to carry a rope and run over pyramids, then pull a crate up to the platform, disassemble it and use the pieces to solve a puzzle. In the end Galu wins and Fao Fao is off to tribal council.
Fire represents life and in the end Marisa’s fire was put out. As (Survivor) Mike put it, “We are in a dog eat dog world and we are all wearing milkbone underwear”.
