07.06.28 Pirate Masters 1 - Trading Places And Being In Charge
Azmyth is Captian. Azmyth is not Captian. Azmyth is Captian again. He’s not the most Captain-est Captain on the show (a return counts more than a consecutive term — I think) but who is really running the show? Further more, it seems like the more you try to regulate people the more they try to cheat and the more you don’t de-regulate people the more they want to regulate themselves.
Also, Pirate Master this week seems to have a little to do with a documentary being shown now on Richard Bluestein’s Insane Films.

07.06.21 Pirate Masters 1 - Honor Among Thieves
We’re starting to see that despite the reputation Pirates have of being scoundrels there is actually a kind of honor among them. Further more, there seems to be more unity among the pirates (or at least fewer diverse alliances) despite there being no official teams (unlike The Apprentice or Survivor).

07.06.14 Pirate Masters 1 - From Tyrant To Benevolent Despot
So long Joe Don — the pirates have traded in your tyranny for a benevolent despot — and he chose an even more benevolent officer (more benevolent to you, at least). Also, Azmyth turns the black spot into an incentive to improve. It’s like Saddam Hussein goes to Haight-Ashbury. It’s a kinder, gentler kind of pirate.

Captain Joe-Don is taking a page right out of the 16th Century Guide for Human Resources Managers (or modern day media station managers).
